Our first choice
Casa Iguana - http//:www.casaiguana.net
One of the most pleasantly situated accommodations on the island is Casa Iguana, Nicaragua’s first eco-lodge on the South East coast of Little Corn Island. It sits on 30 acres with two private coves and a private beach. Due to its location on the windward side of the island it catches the trade winds, which blow much of the year keeping the rooms nice and cool. Casa Iguana offers three kinds of rooms: Cabanas, Casitas and Grand Casitas.
The Cabanas are $35 a night for double occupancy, and share a communal bathroom and shower.
The Casitas are $65 a night for double occupancy. They are larger than the cabanas and have full sized beds, as well as a full sized futons for a spare bed and are equipped with a private shower and bathroom.
The Grand Casitas are the largest rooms at Casa Iguana and these are $75 a night for double occupancy ($5 for each additional person staying in the room). These Casitas have a full sized bed, two full sized futons and private bathroom and shower.

Casa Iguana Lodge - Food with a great view!! Calley thier chef graduated with honors from the California Culinary Academy in San Francisco, CA. this along with a years experience in Nicaragua, now she is excited to join the Casa Iguana team; our farmhands who help harvest ingredients from our farm & garden, and the local kitchen staff who strives to serve consistently delicious meals with fresh ingredients.you do need to reserve dinner by 4pm.
Dinners cost $15 and consist of three courses and is served at 7pm, but the lodge is open all day so you can come and relax with a cocktail as the sun go's down. They can accommodate most dietary restrictions with advanced warning.
There are no hot showers. Casa Iguana is eco-friendly and tries not to waste electricity wherever possible. Besides cool showers are much more refreshing in the Caribbean heat. The wells on the property are tested every 6 months and all the water at Casa Iguana is delicious, free of additives and safe to drink. They absolutely do not sell bottled water so we suggest bringing your own and re-filling it, after all it’s better for the environment and probably a lot better than the tap water which is bottled and sold commercially.
