COURSES AVAILABLE
Some people think that it takes a lot of time and training to scuba
dive! Nothing could be further from the truth. Here at Dive Little
Corn we embrace the dive today theory. Through the following programs
you can be in the water in full scuba the day you arrive!!
BUBBLEMAKER
Introduce your children to the new and exciting underwater world. Under
controlled direct supervision with one of our experienced instructors,
your child can find Nemo and other exciting underwater creatures while
in full scuba gear, in a safe and shallow dive site. Upon completion a
PADI Bubblemaker certificate is awarded to the new budding diver.
(Available to children 8years and over)
- Half a day duration
- 1 dive to 2m
- PADI certificate given upon completion
DISCOVER SCUBA DIVING
Have you ever thought of diving but think you don't have the time, the
money or think it is too much hard work? Well think again! Here at Dive
Little Corn, in just half a day, you can experience the delights of the
underwater environment, through our professional instructor led Discover
Scuba Diving program. After a straightforward knowledge and skill
development session, you are ready to discover the attractions of
underwater Little Corn in one of our shallow secluded dive sites. Upon
completion you will receive a certificate of recognition which can be
used as credit towards your full Open Water Certification.
(Available to persons 10years and over)
- Half a day duration
- 1 confined water session + 1 dive to 6m
- Optional dive to 12m (extra $35)
- One year certificate given upon completion
- Credit given for Scuba Diver and Open Water Course
SCUBA DIVER
Only have 2 days to spare? You still have time to take the Scuba Diver
course, which will give you a life long diving certificate. This
certificate enables you to dive up to a maximum of 12mts/40ft under the
direct supervision of a PADI professional. This 2 day instructor led
course entails 3 classroom sessions, 3 shallow water skill sessions and
2 open water dives. Your certificate can also be used as credit towards
your full Open Water Certificate.

- 1.5/2 days duration
- 3 confined water sessions, 2 open water dives to max. 12 m
- 3 knowledge development sessions with quizzes.
- 200m Swim and 10 minute float.
- PADI Open Water Diver Certification to 12m on completion
OPEN WATER
The most popular scuba diving course in the world is the PADI Open Water
Course. This 3 - 4 day course gives you the foundational knowledge and
skills you need to be able to dive with a buddy independent of
supervision. Our open water course consists of 5 shallow water skill
sessions, 5 classroom sessions and 4 open water dives, all at different
dive sites around Little Corn, taking you to a depth of 18mts/60ft.
Upon completion you will receive a Dive Little Corn log book to record
your wonderful diving holiday, and of course your life long
certification card which is recognized world wide.
(Available to persons 11 years and over)
- 4 days duration
- 5 confined water sessions, 2 open water dives to max. 12m, 2
open water dives to max. 18m, knowledge development sessions with
quizzes and final exam. 200m swim and 10 minute float
- PADI Open Water Diver Certificate to 18m on completion.
ADVANCED OPEN WATER
Are you already a certified Open Water diver, who would like to gain
more knowledge and experience in diving? Have you wondered what it is
like down at 30mt/100ft or how different things look at night, or how
your dive leader always finds the boat and knows so many different fish
species. The answer to all these questions and more is in the Advanced
Open Water course. Our course consists of 5 different specialty dives
and knowledge development sessions, spaced over 2 -3 days. The 2
mandatory dives are a deep dive, where you can experience the rush of
playing with Mrs Potato Head at 30mts/100ft and a navigation dive, where
you can learn just how your dive leader always finds the boat. You can
choose 3 elective dives from any of the following that interest you.
Nights dive - witness Caribbean Octopus and the optical extravaganza of
phosphorescence
Naturalist dive - learn all about the different sea life of Little Corn
and just how many different shark varieties we have here.
Multilevel dive - refine your dive plan to offer you the most bottom
time at any given depth.
Peak performance buoyancy dive - learn to enjoy getting in close and
personal to the reef with good buoyancy control.
Drift dive - experience the rush of a strong current as it pulls your
effortlessly along the reef.
Photography dive - want to show people at home what you did on holiday>
Take a camera into the depths to record your experience.
All these and more are available to you as part of your instructor led
Advanced Open Water Course.

EMERGENCY FIRST RESPONSE
This contemporary one day first aid course is not just for divers. If
you have ever been in a situation where you wished you knew just a
little bit more about first aid, then this is the course for you. The
EFR course extensively covers basic first aid, CPR, shock management,
choking and secondary care just to mention a few of the basic life
saving skills that we all should know. Upon completion you will receive
a certification card that is recognised worldwide.
- 1 day duration
- Classroom, practical sessions and videos. Not diving specific.
- Prerequisite for Rescue Course
- No diving qualification required
- Emergency First Response Certification on completion
RESCUE DIVER
Could you recognise and help a diver in distress or yourself? Could you
calm a panicked diver down? What would you do if you came across an
unconscious diver? Can you recognise and prevent possible problems?
This fun filled and challenging 4 day course will teach you how to help
yourself and others that may be in need. Expand your knowledge through
4 engaging classroom sessions and 12 in water exciting skill exercises.
Then put this knowledge to the test in 4 final water scenarios. Upon
completion you will receive the PADI Rescue Diver card and are one step
closer to becoming a PADI professional.
- 3 - 4 days duration
- 5 in water sessions (12 Rescue Scenarios), knowledge
development session and exam.
- Must be PADI Advanced Open Water or qualifying rating with
first aid qualification (within 2 years) to enroll.
- PADI Rescue Diver Certification on Completion
DIVEMASTER
Have you often thought of living in the sun, diving free every day and
getting paid to do so? The PADI Divemaster course is the first
professional step for the diver who wants it all. Here at Dive Little
Corn we offer a 2 - 6 week Divemaster course with plenty of time to
increase your dives and improve your diving skills. Our course covers
all aspects of the professional diver: understanding the physiology
and physics of diving, mastering the recreational dive planner, and
administering oxygen. Learn how to lead certified divers and map a new
dive site. Gain the confidence necessary to control a group of divers
with varying experience levels. All this and more can be
learntedthrough our intensive yet fun Divemaster course. Upon
completion you will be issued with the first professional diving card of
your career. Welcome to the team!
- Minimum of 2 weeks - maximum of 6 weeks duration
- Must be PADI Rescue Diver or qualifying rating and have valid
first aid qualification. Minimum of 20 logged dives to enroll and
minimum of 60 dives to end.
- Must have current (within 1 year) Medical Statement, signed
and stamped by a medical physician (a nurse is not adequate).
- PADI Divemaster certification on completion of course.
SPECIALTIES
Are you already a certified diver who has an interest in specific
dives? Why not become a specialist in those areas. We offer many
specialty courses that take between 1 - 3 days and all give you a PADI
specialty certification card. All our specialty courses are led by one
of our experienced instructors. If you gather 5 different specialty
ratings you can become a Master Scuba Diver, the highest
non-professional diver rating worldwide. Chose from any of the
following specialty courses.
- Drift- Have you ever been caught in a drift and didn't know how to stop
or turn. Have you ever tried a negative entry to avoid being swept off
your dive site? The Drift diver specialty course will teach you all you
need to know about planning and enjoying a successful drift dive.
- Night - Do you enjoy the calm tranquility of night diving? Become a
night specialist and learn how to navigate at night, learn more about
nighttime creatures and how to find them. This 3 dive course will teach
you the skills to be able to plan and lead your own night dive successfully.
- Naturalist - Do you enjoy identifying marine life and would you like to
know more? Take the naturalist specialty course and amaze your
co-divers with your knowledge about corals and creatures and the complex
relationships of marine life.
- Peak Performance Buoyancy- Improve your buoyancy to the level of a
professional diver. This course enables you to dive to your optimum
potential. It will teach you the correct breathing to improve your air
consumption and buoyancy and will help get rid of any extra weight. If
you are a budding photographer this course is for you.
- Navigation - Getting fed up of always being led on a dive. The
navigation specialty will teach you all the skills you need to ensure
that you can plan and navigate a dive anywhere and never misplace the
boat. The course covers intensive compass work and natural navigation.
- Multilevel - Improve you dive plan, conserve your air and allow yourself
the best multilevel dive possible. This course teaches you all you need
to know to be able to plan the best dive using the recreational dive
planner wheel and a computer.
- Boat - Spent lots of time diving off boats, but still get confused over
Port, Leeward and Head. The boat diver course will teach you all about
boat terminology and the safest way to dive off a boat.
- Deep - Do you enjoy deep dives where you look down into the deep blue
water and wait for the large pelagic to swim by? Do you wish you could
go that bit further and increase your chance of a shark encounter. The
deep specialty will take you to the limits of recreational diving.
Where you never know what you will see.
- Fish Identification - Have you often wondered what that nice orange fish
was called or why certain fish all look the same? This course will
teach you the basic fish groupings and families and how to identify
them. You will amaze yourself and others with the knowledge you can
gather and the different species you will identify whilst diving.
NON DIVING SPECIALITES
- Marine Resource Management - Have you ever wondered what effect humans
have on the oceans? Do you understand the term sustainable
development? This 1day course is designed to teach people about the
delicate balance of the world's oceans and how we can help improve and
not harm it!
- Project Aware- Become part of the team. Help study the underwater world
and survey the state of the oceans. This 1-day course is a useful
worldwide tool that Project Aware and PADI use to gather data regarding
the populations and health of marine plants and animals.
